YES YES YES!!! I'm back. Don't get too hyped, just tell a friend to tell a friend to tell a hoe. I'm back. Why did i leave you ask? Nigga need time to breathe sheesh. Plus i go to college and i been through some shit but a nigga is back. I can't front, i missed the blogging thing. I'm definitely gunna keep my readers entertained (thats if I have any). HA!

WHAT A NIGHT!!!

Today was the 2010 BET Awards and as promised Kanye West performed. In fact, he was the opening act. Its been a while since we have seen Kanye on our television screens but it was a great performance. I was really diggin the stage settings and the aesthetics that came along with his performance.

Comments and speculations have been made regarding the performance supposedly there was a illuminati reference but I am not sure & I really don't care.

Intelligent & Talented : Such a Beautiful Mix

I got this off of the kidults site & I found this blogworthy. Mr. Miranda is a great composer and lyricist and is behind the music for many Broadway plays and more recently the show "The Heights". I have been reading and learning more about what this guy does and I love what I see. He has great intelligence,creativity,and talent and he mixes these elements so beautifully. I haven't seen anything like it.

I'm Liking this!

I've seen the previous episode and I started getting interested in the whole direction Gatorade was going. They have been advertising athletes for the longest but they haven't really caught the attention of majority of their consumers like these episodes are taking. It is something serious & you gotta commend Nigel Sylvester on his dope BMX skills. Had I known you could go this far with BMX biking, I would've been crafting my skills also. GREAT ART : by Yinka Shonibare

Normally I would place a picture of an art form below in this post. But this artist's work has captured my heart and my mind. Mr. Shonibare was featured in CNN's African Voices, his artwork has been featured in many prestigious museums such as the Smithsonian Institute in Washington D.C. The work he is being honored for though is being placed on the Fourth Plinth in the north-west of Trafalgar Square. And it is quite amazing. Below is a CNN feature he did recently which will give you a closer look into his art and his influences.

GROW UP!

I have always been the immature one. Ever since I was a kid I was the playful child and I loved to laugh and make everyone else laugh. But growing up has brought challenges that I just couldn't have foreseen. Socially, psychologically, and emotionally I was different from everyone else. I was always backwards but at the same time it made me unique and for some odd reason I always had friends. I mean at times they were not the best choices of friends but I had friends nonetheless.

But my point to this post is to just open your minds. Do not judge and be open to life experiences and take everything slowly and progressively, you might miss out on the important things. I feel nowadays our generation needs to open up and stop being so provincial. It disturbs the soul, and the mind and most importantly it harms people around you. Always bring something new to everywhere you go and people will gravitate towards you.

I really don't know where this philosophical energy is coming from. But its all important thoughts, so PAY ATTENTION AND GROW UP!

KEEP IT SIMPLE STUPID!!!

I swear some filmmakers just need a lesson from my man Spike Lee. He is one of the greatest in the film industry. Even though he doesn't make anymore of those classic films (Do the Right Thing, School Daze,etc) he is still involved in some heavy projects. The Wall

A random thought just popped in my head while I was tryna sleep in this hot and humid room. I remember back in my high school days when us kids tried to front like we were the coolest kids in the world. We had this wall in our school commons where mostly the minority (blacks and latinos) would just chill at. See this spot was our chill spot and it was like a generational thing. You couldnt be on the wall unless you were a senior or a junior and if you were anything less than that well...lets just say that that means you were TOO KOOL 4 skool. But what was so cool about it was that it overlooked the entire commons area. You could see everyone and we used to make fun of people without even knowing. We used to make fun of ourselves, laugh,chill, and even bag girls on the wall. I don't know why this popped in my head but it made me realize how young we were and the things that we used to do. It also coincidentally made me think of those slavery days when young black males and females used to be sold on big brick walls. I don't want to turn self-righteous or nothing on y'all but you should see where I'm going with this. The only question I have for y'all is...did you have any "Wall" in your high school and if so leave a comment and let me know how you feel about it now.

Just a little while ago, Daniel “Diggy” Simmons officially signed with Atlantic Records. I extend my congratulations. To be honest, when our site started posting music by the now 15-year-old Diggy (happy birthday kid), my first reaction was “really?” I have always found it weird listening to someone five or six years younger than me, and I made up my mind that there was no way Diggy could actually be dope. I mean, we all heard what his brother JoJo sounded like, and Diggy could only be worse. Without listening to a song, I completely dismissed the middle Simmons brother. That was until my roommate and fellow blogger T Marko played me a track while we were hanging out, and I realized the kid can spit. The shit he did over Nas’ “Made You Look” was crazy. I can’t begin to tell you how refreshing it is to see someone so young understand what true hip-hop is. Diggy didn’t come out rapping out women, guns and cars, a trap so many other young and rookie rappers fall into. The kid came out spitting from the heart, something I am sure his father Rev Run instilled in him. He is a breath of fresh air and I wish him all the luck in the world. Also, don’t write a kid off just because he is young, unless that kid is Justin Bieber.

Sitting here listening to some Kanye and I realize that the College Dropout was by far his best album ever!!! i know i know some of y'all probably like duhh...But for real out of all of Kanye's album this one was well put together and it's raw like there are imperfections but still its real and timeless. Not many can make a masterpiece like this.
